Mission Statement

To provide teachings, and an environment where students of yoga will learn to structure and teach a variety of safe, effective classes with optimal alignment and compassion for their students. To instill a respect for and knowledge of yoga’s traditions and philosophies. To create an environment where each student’s strengths and passions will be nurtured, guided and celebrated. To introduce and grow a community of yoga practitioners dedicated to living and sharing Yoga’s innumerable benefits.

Dianne Bondy. Eastside Yoga Shala DirectorI was initially hesitant to run a yoga shala. Owning a studio and teaching 10 to 12 classes a week is emotionally and physically demanding.

Teacher training is a big commitment. For the teacher and student. Students should learn from, and experience, teachers that are truly passionate about what they do.

Many of my teachers, friends, and students encouraged me to open a yoga shala. I have made great friends within the Yoga communities of Windsor and Michigan. I smile with gratitude when I think of this wonderful community of yogis.

Suddenly, I am rejuvenated with the joy of a new experience! I love and study all of the aspects of yoga. I would love to introduce a variety of teachers to share their strongest passions. Many of these Yogis have already taught workshops in our studio!

I feel so blessed! This is why I love yoga! I get to bring in knowledge so the community can LEARN, STRENGTHEN and GROW.

Following the curriculum as set out by the Yoga Alliance has provided me extra satisfaction in that this shala will meet or exceed all standards.

Assembling these spirits to put together a truly special experience has been a joy.

Please join us,

Namaste,

Dianne
